Making sure your static IP is working

Updated 1 min read

A static IP proxy keeps the same address for as long as your order lasts. It never rotates, which means the session settings for rotating proxies do not apply to it.

Is it the same address every time?

Request an IP-echo page through the proxy a few times in a row. You should see the same address each time. If it changes, you are most likely not connecting to the static host and port shown in your ProxyPanda account, so please check them against your account.

Going easy on one address

All your requests leave from one address, so a website that limits requests per address sees all your traffic as a single visitor. Please keep your request rate steady and below what the website tolerates. If you need to move more data, spread the work across more than one address.

If a website blocks your address

The address does not change by itself, so a block stays in place until the website lifts it. If a website has started refusing one of your static addresses, write to support@proxypanda.io with the details listed in If a website blocks your proxy, tell us this much.
