Renewing ISP and datacenter IPs
Updated 2 min read
ISP and datacenter IPs are rented for a fixed term. When the term ends, the IP stops working unless you renew it. Renewals are paid from your balance.
Renew by hand
- In the dashboard, open ISP or Datacenter under Proxies, and open the proxy.
- Press Buy more time on its status card. On the proxy list, the same action is Extend in the proxy's row menu. The dialog is called More time on this proxy.
- Under How much time to buy, pick a block of time.
- Press Confirm and pay. The button shows the price.
It is charged once, from your balance. You see "Time bought. This proxy's expiry date has moved." The new end date shows on the proxy's page.
Renew automatically with Auto-buy
- Open the proxy in the dashboard.
- Turn on Auto-buy on its status card.
You see "Auto-buy is on. This proxy will buy one more month before it expires." Shortly before the term ends, one more month is bought from your balance.
Keep enough balance. If your balance is too low when Auto-buy runs, nothing is bought, and we email you that Auto-buy could not buy more time. It tries again until the term ends. To avoid this, turn on automatic deposits with a saved card. See Ways to pay.
To stop renewing, turn Auto-buy off. The IP then runs until the end of its term.
Reminders
If Auto-buy is off, we email you a few days before a proxy expires. You choose which emails you get under My account, then Notifications, then Expiring services.
If the term has already ended
The proxy stops working when the term ends.
For a short time afterwards, you may be able to bring it back. Open the proxy and choose Reactivate. The proxy goes back on the same address for a new term that starts today, charged once from your balance. The dialog shows the price, including any reactivation fee. This only works while the old address is still free. If Reactivate is not offered, order a new IP. See Ordering ISP or datacenter IPs.
Ending a rental early
There is no button to cancel a rental. If you want to end one before its term is over, write to support@proxypanda.io. A person will look at it with you.
