Adding bandwidth to a proxy
Updated 1 min read
When a proxy runs out of bandwidth, its requests stop. You can add more to the same proxy, so you keep the same login and do not need to change your tools.
This works for ISP and datacenter plans that include a bandwidth allowance. Uncapped plans never run out, so there is nothing to add. Residential proxies are coming soon, and are not on sale yet.
Add bandwidth once
- In the dashboard, open the proxy and press Buy bandwidth on its Capacity card. On the proxy list, Buy bandwidth is also in the proxy's row menu.
- Under Bandwidth to add, choose how much.
- Press Confirm and pay. The button shows the price.
It is charged once, from your balance. The bandwidth is added as soon as the payment clears, and you see "Bandwidth has been added to this proxy."
If your balance is too low, add funds first. See Topping up your balance.
Auto-buy
Some proxies have an Auto-buy switch on their page. The text next to it says what it buys and when. It pays from your balance, so keep enough balance, or turn on automatic deposits. See Ways to pay. You can turn it off at any time.
